Jacob Bryant is premiering his newest single “Satan & an Outdated Six String” with PEOPLE solely on Thursday — and the nation singer opened up in regards to the function performing and songwriting performed in his journey to restoration.
“It was just like the satan was on one shoulder and an angel was on the opposite. One stored me an addict and one saved my life. It is a day by day battle to be the perfect you you might be,” Bryant, 26, says of his previous struggles with habit after the demise of his mom in 2010. “Now it is about my household, transferring ahead and writing music that makes individuals completely happy.”

If Bryant had one piece of recommendation for his youthful self, the nation singer says it is to “all the time keep true to who you might be.”
“I’d inform my youthful self to all the time keep true to who you might be irrespective of the pattern on the time. Write your individual songs, discover your individual sound and persist with it. As a result of when it is your time, it is your time. (And do not get married until you are 30 haha)” he says.
